Spanish-speaking public adjuster in MarylandAjustador público que habla español en Maryland

If your insurance company only talks to you in English, every letter, phone call and estimate is a chance for something to get lost. Proactive Public Adjusting Group is licensed in Maryland and our team handles claims in Spanish from the first call to the final check — you never need a relative to translate a denial letter again. Below is what Maryland law says about hiring a public adjuster, in plain language.

An insurance claim is a negotiation on paper. The adjuster's estimate, the denial letter, the engineer report and the policy itself are all in English, and the words matter: “wear and tear”, “long-term seepage”, “cosmetic”, “matching”. Homeowners who don't read English fluently sign releases they didn't fully understand, miss deadlines buried in a letter, or accept a first check because nobody explained that a supplement was possible. A public adjuster who speaks your language reads every document with you, explains what it means for your money, and answers the insurer in writing so nothing depends on a phone call you couldn't follow.

Insurers must acknowledge a claim, decide coverage after proof of loss, and answer your communications within 15 working days (COMAR 31.15.07.03). You have 3 years to sue, and Maryland voids any policy clause that tries to shorten it (Ins. § 12-104). First-party bad faith goes through an MIA complaint first (Ins. § 27-1001), with attorney's fees recoverable up to one-third of actual damages.

The claims we see most in MarylandLos reclamos que más vemos en Maryland

Wind, hail and tornado losses lead in Maryland, followed by frozen and burst pipes every winter and storm or snowmelt flooding — the exact perils the Maryland Insurance Administration's own weather-loss guide addresses. Older housing stock around Baltimore and the D.C. suburbs makes interior water and plumbing losses especially common.
